Long Overdue

So I've been busy as of late and haven't been able to post on my blog in a long time... a lot has happened since my last post so I'll just touch on a few different things. First of all, let's talk Lions. They get the #2 pick in the draft, which means they dont get Ndamukong Suh like everyone had hoped... o well hopefully Sam Bradford jerks of Steve Spagnuolo and they go for Bradford over Suh. Also, the Seahawks own the 6 and 14 picks in the draft. They need a DT. If the Rams go Bradford, why not trade the pick to Seattle and take Joe Haiden, CB Florida at 6 and CJ Spiller/Taylor Mays at 14 whoever is available. Then we are set up to take Terrence Cody or Brandon Graham in the second round. If any of these things happen I will personally jizz my pants in football joy.

On to basketball, what the fuck is going on with the Stones? I know they have been injured this season, but it has been embarassing. Hats off to Kuester though for keeping them pushing hard and working at wins. It isn't his fault that Tayshaun Prince has a larger vagina than Tila Tequila. To solve some of these problems I say that the Stones forget about 2010 and look to next season. I don't want to keep players in Detroit only to make the playoffs as a number 7 or 8 seed and get bounced out in the first round again. Trade Rip (sorry rip) and Tay (pussy bitch) to Houston for Tracy Mcgrady. This move makes a ton of sense cuz we would inherit T-mac's 23 million dollar contract, which expires after this season. With that 23 million dollars, they could go out and get a big name like David Lee and still have some money left over to add some role players or maybe another starter. The season is a wash anyway, why be stubborn and keep players to just lose in the first rd again. I'm not saying we don't have a dangerous team for a playoff run, but it is hard to compete with the Cavs, Celtics, Magic.

There isn't much to talk about the Tigers because it is the offseason but... there was a huge trade that took place recently. Now everyone wants to dog this trade because Granderson and Edwin Jackson are gone but the average baseball fan pisses me off. Nobody realized that Granderson struck out a shit ton and Jackson was awful after being named an All star. Although I loved both of these guys, its not the end of the world that they are gone. Not a lot of people realize what we got in return, some really really good talent. The Tigs got Max Scherzer, probably a better overall pitcher than Jackson at less money, Daniel Schlereth (hard throwing lefty who could possibly be a closer), Phil Coke ( decent bullpen guy that we desperately need), and Austin Jackson, (leadoff hitter that we needed although he may be a year away from being a starter in the majors). Quit dogging this trade because in a year or two you will be sucking off Dave Dombrowski for dumping all of that money that Granderson was going to be owed and what Jackson would have made. The young players will develop and keep the Tigs in the division race this year and for years to come. The only team that has really done anything to improve themselves in this division is the White Sox, which gives me reason to believe that the Tigs can still compete somewhat.

Well sorry about the long post but its been long overdue, hopefully time permitting I will post some stuff more often now... peace bitches

Fantasy draft recap

So I had a fantasy football draft recently, and after I couldn't help but think that my team is amazing. From previous experience, however, I believe that everything has good feelings about their team after draft day... but with the 8th pick in my draft, I can't help but get all giddy thinking about what my team could do this year... Can you say? put it on the board... championship! I snagged Andre 3000 in the first round at pick 8 which is nice in a PPR league and on the way back manged to get Tom Brady. Here is my lineup... u tell me, am I championship bound?
QB- Tom Brady
RB- Clinton Portis
RB- Kevin Smith
WR- Andre Johnson
WR- Wes Welker
TE- Owen Daniels
K- David Akers
DEF- Titans
RB/WR- Hines Ward
Bench- Derrick Ward
Bench- Donald Brown
Bench- Jonathan Stewart
Bench- Eddie Royal
Bench- Derrick Mason
Bench- Matt Hasselback
Bench- Donald Driver

I have another draft on sunday, aug 16th in which i will post my results as well, let me know what you think...

Top 5 women

Every man whether he admits it or not has a "top 5 women" that he loves and would love to be alone with for just one night lol. They are celebrities that we as men have absolutely no chance of ever getting with, but it is nice to just dream once in a while. Every guy thinks about this sort of thing whether they like it or not. I've come to find out that women do not think about this kind of stuff like guys do... but I would like to let my top 5 be known. I will re-evaluate my top 5 every so often...
1. Jessica Biel
2. Scarlett Johannson
3. Evangeline Lilly (Kate from Lost)
4. Lacey Chabert
5. Mila Kunis

Honorable Mention: Allesandra AmbrosioKaK, Rhianna, Megan Fox, Jessica Alba,Katerine Hiegl

I know he won't fall to me but on that extreme off chance that he does I will jump for football joy and run around my house smacking my opponents in the face with my "member" (Thanks Eric) Should be an nice start to my fantasy season tonight, with two more drafts to come... let's call this one a warm up I guess...

Trade deadline

So I wake up on Friday, the day of the trade deadline and what do I see? Detroit Tigers trade Luke warm French fries and some single A jabronie to the Mariners for Jarrod Washburn... YIIIPPPPEEEEYYY!!!! wow can't believe DD pulled off something so big. Needless to say I'm very pleased with the pickup because if the tigs make the playoffs, watch out, they have arguably the best three man playoff rotation in all of baseball. On the other end of the spectrum, DD failed to trade for a bat, which I also felt was necessary. If the tigs had the prospects to get Roy Halladay, you can't tell me they didn't have enough to get Luke Scott or Adam Dunn... it just doesn't make sense. Sure, our starter will give up 3 runs, but if we can't score a damn run, we will lose every game 3-2. Looks like Guillen, Cabrera, Granderson, and Polanco will have to carry this offense because B-inge looks like a P.O.S. since his HR Derby embarassment. The rest of this season will be exciting to see if this offense has enough fire power to get the pitching the wins that they deserve. Verlander, Jackson, Washburn= studly, but they will need a few runs to get wins, so come on tigs... get the bats hot at the right time, and win the Central.

Coming soon... discussion of a man's "top 5 women"... every man has their own picks

Series recap

Tigs lose 5-1 in the final game of a four game set against the Sox... a lot of fans will now jump off the bandwaggon after losing one game in this series, but let's be honest? did anyone think we would take 3 of 4 this weekend? No. Huge wins for the tigs and I hope this is just an indication of what will happen in the next couple of months... I'm eager to see if the team will do anything at the deadline, but don't get excited because it's likely they will stay put where they are now. Forget getting Roy Halladay or Adam Dunn. I'm thinking if anything will happen it would be for a lesser known name, such as Aubrey Huff, Josh Willingham, or a relief pitcher... but nothing major. Another big series on the schedule with the high powered offense of the Texas Rangers, but the tigs have been known to beat around their pitching this season....

Tigers doubleheader

Wow what a day for the tigers... two big wins to put them in first by two games. Two more big games await them on saturday and sunday on national tv. It was ironic that on a day that Matt Holliday was traded, a guy the Tigers had been linked to, Carlos Guillen comes back and goes 2-3 and knocks a bomb to right field... WE NEED A BAT??? yes i still think so, sorry... not at the table carlos. Excited for the 2 games coming up and another big series with Texas... go tigs!
