Tigers update: 7-5-07
So the tigers just dropped another one to the Minnesota Twins today at the Metrodrome 6-2. If you ask my opinion, WE NEED ANOTHER BAT!!!! The Tigers need to do something at the deadline, whether it be adding starting pitching or bullpen help, or another solid bat. Please Dombrowski, do something with your life and go out and get Aubrey Huff, I mean come on, he is going to be shipped for almost nothing. Ship Jeff Larish outta here with another shit prospect and get it done. We need a guy who can hit for power like him and he would give reassure the Tigers offense a bit. And I know a lot of people are saying to go get Adam Dunn because he will give you those power numbers... but let's be honest... do we really want to pay his large salary while giving up emerging prospects such as Ryan Perry and Wilkin Ramirez? I think not... come on Dommer, do the right thing and make this team a playoff contender and not just one of those teams that lays low at the deadline and flakes out after the all star break.

There is no question help is needed. They have enough young guys to get a huff or a dunn. I actually would lean towards pitching, of course, that is hoping that Mags will find his form... give my blog a look too. schwandasports.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteyeah i agree we need some kinda spark to our offense. We seem to be getting hits alot of times but we dont seem to only get big hits to drive in runs every once in a while. Magglio used to be the ultimate clutch hitter but now all he does is hit into double plays. Hopefully he can come around and Carlos Guillen will be come back and be ready to produce. Wouldn't be objected to a trade but dont want to get rid of too much of our young talent. Clete Thomas is hitting 400 since he went back to AAA so maybe hes improved his swing and he could come back and help out. I feel like we got the pieces they just got to come to play every day instead of winning 7 games then losing 5 and winning and losing and we need to get better on the road if we want to do good in the playoffs.
